Members of the Board of Directors of JSC NC KazMunayGas got acquainted with the work of the training and production site in Atyrau
Members of the Board of Directors of JSC NC "KazMunayGas" (hereinafter – KMG), Uzakbay Karabalin and Armanbay Zhubayev, visited the training and production ground of the S. Utebayev Oil and Gas University as part of a working trip to the Atyrau region. The guests familiarized themselves with the process of training future oil specialists at the new facility, which was built with the financial support of JSC "Embamunaigas" (hereinafter – EMG).
During the tour, they were shown safety engineering and medical service classrooms, a chemical analysis laboratory, and practical training sites where future specialists practice hands-on tasks related to oil production, well repair, electric welding, and other activities.
"One of the key priorities facing our country's oil and gas sector is ensuring production is provided with qualified specialists. The training ground, built as part of this goal, provides excellent opportunities for future oil workers to reinforce the theoretical knowledge gained within the university walls with practical experience. Every facility here is maximally adapted and well-prepared for production conditions," noted Uzakbay Karabalin, Deputy Chairman of the KAZENERGY Association and a member of the KMG Board of Directors.
It is worth noting that the S. Utebayev Atyrau Oil and Gas University became the first university (VUZ) in Kazakhstan to have such a modern practical base.
At the end of the visit, the Board members, along with the management of EMG, planted greenery on the territory of the training ground, which covers an area of 4 hectares.

"Embamunaigas" JSC is a subsidiary of "KazMunayGas" National Company JSC. The official history of "Embamunaigas" JSC dates to 1922 — from the creation of the "Embaneft" trust to develop the Dossor and Makat fields. The main activities of the company include geological exploration, development of oil and gas fields, extraction of oil and gas, and preparation of oil and gas.
"Embamunaigas" JSC includes 6 production structural divisions located in Atyrau city and 4 districts of Atyrau Region: "Zhaiykmunaigas", "Dossormunaigas", "Kainarmunaigas", "Zhyloimunaigas", the management of "Embamunaienergo", and the "Production and Technical Service and Equipment Supply Department" (PTSD and ES). The company supplies extracted oil for both exports and the domestic market. Domestically, oil is delivered to oil refineries of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For export, oil is transported via two main routes: through the pipelines of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) and Uzen-Atyrau-Samara (UAS). The sale of commercial gas is carried out through the national operator of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of gas and gas supply — "QazaqGaz" NC JSC.
From 2012 to 2024, "Embamunaigas" JSC has allocated 1 trillion 780 billion 977 million tenge for tax payments to the National Fund, the republican and local budgets; 7 billion 212 million tenge has been allocated for the social development of the region.
