At 4:40 PM on March 8th, 2025, the gas leak at well No. 437 of the Western Prorva field, in the Zhylyoimunaigas Oil and Gas Production Division of Embamunaigas JSC (EMG), was fully eliminated.
The well has been sealed, and a universal hydraulic preventer (PUG) has been installed at the wellhead by the militarized emergency rescue service of Ak Beren LLP.
To recap, on March 6th, 2025, gas appeared at the preserved well No. 437 of the Western Prorva field after perforation, during the lowering of the tubing string.
To resolve the incident, an operational headquarters of Embamunaigas JSC was established, and teams from the militarized emergency rescue service of Ak Beren LLP, Semser - Ort sondirushi LLP, and the mobile security of SOP Atyrau LLP were involved.
A team of specialists led by the Deputy Chairman of the Board of NC KazMunayGas JSC, Bekzat Abayildanov, worked at the site.
