Head of KMG Held a Production Meeting on the Activities of JSC “EmbaMunaiGas”
The Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas, Askhat Khasenov, during a working trip to the Atyrau region, held a production meeting on the current activities of JSC EmbaMunaiGas (EMG).
The General Director of EMG, Rinat Izmukhanbet, presented the key results of the company's work for 2024. The company's oil production volume amounted to 2.79 million tons, which is 17 thousand tons more than the plan.
Work has begun to expand the infrastructure for the development of gas deposits at the West Prorva field. The project will be implemented in three stages.
In June 2025, it is planned to launch the first start-up complex, which will increase oil production to 45 thousand tons per year and gas production to 160 million cubic meters. The second and third stages are planned for 2026-2027. The second start-up complex will ensure the achievement of gas treatment production capacity of up to 350 million cubic meters, and the third stage will allow reaching the design capacity of 600 million cubic meters.
Also this year, the development of the project "Reconstruction and Modernization of the Prorva Oil Treatment and Transfer Shop" will begin. It is aimed at the phased replacement of obsolete equipment and modernization of the technological scheme, which will increase reliability and increase productivity to 3 million tons of oil per year. The modernization is being carried out in connection with the planned increase in production from new fields.
The task has been set to ensure the start of oil production at the West Karasor field by the end of the year. This will allow for additional production of 60-65 thousand tons of oil at the peak of development.
Another investment project is the construction of a gas treatment plant (GTP) at the South-East Novobogat field. The introduction of the field into development will allow for the production of 100 thousand tons of oil per year at peak production.
Measures for additional exploration of existing fields have been considered.
The implementation of these projects will increase oil and gas production, ensure sustainable development of the company and maintain social stability in the region.
EMG has also been tasked with bringing mature fields to a profitable level.
"We need to continue working to improve operational efficiency, paying special attention to increasing oil recovery," A. Khasenov concluded.
