Serpin: to strive for new knowledge

Embamunaigas JSC completed the Serpin project, during which the Company's young specialists acquired skills and strengthened qualities that contribute to professional and personal growth.  It should be noted that the program aimed at unlocking new facets of each employee's potential has been implemented in the Company for the second year already.

This year the training consisted of 5 modules and took place in Atyrau, Aktau, Almaty and Astana. The project participants, 28 young EMG specialists, learnt emotional intelligence and effective communication, personal efficiency and project budgeting, project management and presentation skills.

At the end of the modular training, 4 teams defended their projects aimed at improving the production and social processes of Embamunaigas. For example, the ‘Sparta’ team proposed a digital employee card in the field of industrial safety and labour protection at hazardous production facilities, the ‘Board of Directors’ team - automation of the employee's social package, the “Birlik” team - application of gamification elements at work in the field of labour protection and industrial safety, and the “Just do it” team - improvement of air quality at workplaces and recreation areas of employees. All projects were approved for further implementation.

Kurmangazy Iskaziyev, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas, Rinat Izmukhanbet, General Director of Embamunaigas JSC, and Kairat Abenov, Deputy General Director for Human Resources and Social Issues of Embamunaigas JSC, who took part in the final event of the Serpin project, wished the young specialists new success, noting that such projects as Serpin give an impetus to the flow of new knowledge that helps employees to think strategically, make the right decisions, overcome crises, and be leaders in their environment.

JSC Embamunaigas is a subsidiary of JSC National Company KazMunayGas. The official history of JSC Embamunaigas dates back to 1922, when the Embaneft Trust was established to develop the Dossor and Makat fields. The main activities of the company: geological exploration, development of oil and gas fields; oil and gas production; oil and gas treatment. Embamunaigas JSC includes 6 production structural subdivisions in Atyrau city and 4 districts of Atyrau region: “Zhaiykmunaigas”, “Dossormunaigas”, “Kainarmunaigas”, “Zhylyoymunaigas”, “Embamunaigas” management and “Production and Technical Maintenance and Equipment Completion Department” (PTM&E). The Company supplies oil produced for export and the domestic market. Crude oil is delivered to refineries in the Republic of Kazakhstan for the domestic market. Oil is exported via two main routes: the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) and Uzen-Atyrau-Samara (UAS) pipelines. Marketable gas is sold through the national operator of Kazakhstan in the field of gas and gas supply - JSC NC Qazaq Gaz. From 2012 to 2023, JSC Embamunaigas allocated 1 trillion 608 billion 835 million KZT for tax payments to the National Fund, republican and local budgets, and 6 billion 437 million KZT for social development of the region.
