On 22 April 2023, employees of the head office of Embamunaigas JSC (hereinafter EMG or the Company) held a "Plant a Tree" event. During the event, 850 saplings were planted.
The event was organised as part of a bilateral memorandum between the Company and the local executive body for the period 2022 to 2024.
"Environmental sustainability is one of the priorities in the activities of JSC Embamunaigas. For this reason, employees who are members of the Company's trade union organisation willingly responded to the initiative to hold the event and took an active part in the planting of greenery," said Bolat Nsanbayev, director of the Production Automation and Information Technology Department and chairman of the trade union committee of Embamunaigas JSC.
If last year 1700 green plants were planted on the area of 2 hectares near Talgairan settlement (the plot was allocated by Atyrau Akimat), from the beginning of this year Emba oilmen have greened up 8 hectares of land, having planted 7200 young trees. Most of them are maple, poplar, elm and elm and Karagach, which have high survival rate in the local soil.
The green area created by JSC Embamunaigas is fenced and equipped with a water line.
