Makashev R.B. was born in 1979. He graduated from the Kazakh State Law Academy (Almaty) with a degree in law, the Caspian Public University (Almaty) with a degree in economics, KIMEP University (Almaty) with an Executive MBA degree.
He started his career in 2000 as a lawyer in the Road Repair and Construction Department of JSC Kazakhoil-Emba; 2001-2004. – Legal Adviser of the Legal Department of Embamunaigas JSC; 2004-2012 – Chief Lawyer of the Legal Department, Senior Lawyer of the Legal Support Department, Deputy Director of the Department of Equity Management in Joint Ventures, Deputy Director of the Department of Management and Restructuring of Service Assets, Deputy Director of the Department of Service Assets Management, Deputy Director of the Department of International Contracts; 2012-2017 – Director of the Legal Department, Vice President for Legal, Human Resources and Social Affairs of Karazhanbasmunai JSC; 2017-2019 – Director of the Legal Department (Member of the Management Board) of Embamunaigas JSC; from 2019 until – Director of the Legal Support of Business Directions Department, Head of the Legal Support Legal of Business Directions Department, Director of the Legal Support Department of JSC NC KazMunaiGas.
