JSC "Embamunaigas" held a commemorative event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Sagidolla Nurzhanov, an Honorary Oil Worker of the USSR and Distinguished Oil Worker of the Kazakh SSR, who made a monumental contribution to the development of the national oil industry. The ceremony was attended by Kurmangazy Iskaziev, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC "KazMunayGas," the leadership of JSC "Embamunaigas," veteran oil workers, and the children of the late honoree.
The tribute began at one of the Prorva fields that bears Sagidolla Nurzhanov's name, where a bust of the legendary oilman is installed. His students, relatives, and colleagues laid flowers at the monument and shared vivid memories of his life and work.
Sagidolla Nurzhanov’s name is written in gold in the history of Kazakhstan's oil and gas sector. He rose from a rank-and-file engineer to a major executive, leading several production enterprises in the Atyrau and Mangystau regions, including OGPD "Zhetybayneft," "Uzenneft," and "Prorvaneft." He also served as the Deputy General Director of the "Kazakhstanneft" association. As the head of OGPD "Prorvaneft," he successfully pushed the collective toward new production heights. His technical innovations—specifically oil production automation and centralized management systems—ensured high efficiency and a significant increase in labor productivity.
The commemorative evening continued at the central office of JSC "Embamunaigas." Veterans who began their careers under Nurzhanov’s mentorship spoke with gratitude about their years of joint work. His mission is now carried on by the current generation of oil producers.

Having worked through every stage of production, he made a significant contribution to the discovery and commissioning of the Teren-Uzek field, as well as the development of the Prorva field. The methods he introduced are still applied in production today, and the Prorva group remains among the leading fields of Emba," noted Rinat Izmukhanbet, General Director of JSC "Embamunaigas."
The memory of Sagidolla Nurzhanov will be forever preserved in the company's history. His professionalism, organizational talent, and personal character serve as a moral compass for the new generations of Emba oil workers.

"Embamunaigas" JSC is a subsidiary of "KazMunayGas" National Company JSC. The official history of "Embamunaigas" JSC dates to 1922 — from the creation of the "Embaneft" trust to develop the Dossor and Makat fields. The main activities of the company include geological exploration, development of oil and gas fields, extraction of oil and gas, and preparation of oil and gas.
"Embamunaigas" JSC includes 6 production structural divisions located in Atyrau city and 4 districts of Atyrau Region: "Zhaiykmunaigas", "Dossormunaigas", "Kainarmunaigas", "Zhyloimunaigas", the management of "Embamunaienergo", and the "Production and Technical Service and Equipment Supply Department" (PTSD and ES). The company supplies extracted oil for both exports and the domestic market. Domestically, oil is delivered to oil refineries of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For export, oil is transported via two main routes: through the pipelines of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) and Uzen-Atyrau-Samara (UAS). The sale of commercial gas is carried out through the national operator of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of gas and gas supply — "QazaqGaz" NC JSC.
From 2012 to 2025, "Embamunaigas" JSC has allocated 1 trillion 902 billion 223 million tenge for tax payments to the National Fund, the republican and local budgets; 8 billion 096 million tenge has been allocated for the social development of the region.
