JSC "Embamunaigas": through safe labor - to the growth of production and social level
During the reporting meeting of Sabit Arynov, General Director of JSC "Embamunaigas", with representatives of production structural units (PSU) of JSC "Embamunaigas" (hereinafter EMG or the Company), heads of NGDU, chairmen of trade union committees, the results of the Company's work for 8 months of 2023 and tasks for the coming period were presented.
Positive dynamics in the past period is noted in the strategic direction of occupational health and safety for EMG, - Sabit Arynov started his speech with it.
Key safety indicators, according to the parameters of the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP) and JSC NC KazMunayGas, show the high involvement and leadership of Embiny in this matter.
- The fatality rate per 100 million man-hours is at zero. The same is true for the rate of registered road accidents," said the first head, expressing confidence that the Company's team will maintain this trend in the future. He also drew attention to strengthening the activities of contractors at the Company's fields in terms of unconditional compliance with all requirements of industrial safety, occupational health and environmental protection.
The situation in the production sector of Embamunaigas was also favorable for 8 months. The plan for oil production was fulfilled by 100.4%, for oil delivery - by 100.9%. Within the framework of implementation of organizational and technical measures in the period under review 25 production wells were drilled and put into operation, thanks to which more than 29 thousand tons of oil was additionally produced.
The Company's capital construction plan for 2023 provides for construction of 28 facilities - 23 production and 5 social facilities; repair of 63 facilities, development of 43 wells, replacement and reconstruction of about 60 kilometers of fluid collection and transportation systems at the fields.
During the reporting period, Emba geologists performed a lot of work to obtain subsoil use contracts from JSC NC KazMunayGas for the Taisoigan-1 and Taisoigan-2 sites. Exploration projects on these sites were developed and sent to the controlling bodies for approval and public hearings.
For 8 months of 2023, EMG paid 111,444 million tenge of taxes and payments to the budget, made a significant volume of purchases in the domestic market, which serves as a measure of serious support for the stability of Kazakhstan's economy and business.
Speaking about the Company's development concept, Mr. Sabit Arynov outlined 5 strategic directions: geological exploration under existing and new contracts; additional exploration at existing fields; acquisition of new assets; increasing efficiency at existing fields; development of gas business and improvement of energy efficiency.
- The implementation of these plans should result in ensuring annual oil production at the level of 2.8 million tons per year until 2027, with further increase in production to form a long-term resource base and increase reserves. All this should fundamentally change the attitude towards Embamunaigas as an unpromising asset," Sabit Arynov said.
At the same time, the General Director assured the audience that social support of Embamunaigas employees, health protection, creation of proper working conditions and improvement of their professionalism, development and motivation of personnel, improvement of qualification and remuneration of Emba workers remain a priority.

JSC Embamunaigas is a subsidiary of JSC National Company KazMunaiGas. The official history of JSC Embamunaigas dates back to 1922, when the Embaneft Trust was established to develop the Dossor and Makat fields. The main activities of the company: geological exploration, development of oil and gas fields; oil and gas production; oil and gas treatment.
