Embamunaigas JSC held a meeting with the public of Atyrau on landscaping issues
JSC Embamunaigas (hereinafter referred to as EMG or the Company) informed the public of the city of Atyrau. The meeting was organised by Embamunaigas JSC (hereinafter referred to as EMG or the Company) to inform the public of Atyrau about the ongoing landscaping work in the regional centre. The meeting organised by the Company was attended by representatives of the Department of Ecology of Atyrau oblast, Department of Natural Resources and Regulation of Nature Management, environmental activists and employees of mass media.
Before the official part of the meeting, participants planted saplings in the village of Talcairan.
In order to implement the President's instruction, announced in his Address to the Nation, to plant 2 billion trees on forest lands and 15 million in settlements within 5 years, and also to rehabilitate ecological situation in the region and improve environmental quality, in 2021 a Memorandum on Greening was signed between EMG and the Atyrau region Akimat.
As part of this document, the Atyrau Oblast Akimat allocated a land plot with a total area of 243.2 hectares for EMG in the village of Talkayairan, Kayrshakti rural district.
During the preparatory phase, EMG carried out a soil survey, which yielded results on the suitability of 71.3 hectares of land for planting greenery.
To date, around 9,000 seedlings have been planted on 10.5 hectares of land. The trees have successfully taken root and are being carefully cared for.
In order to ensure regular irrigation of the young trees by drip irrigation from the Sokolok canal, an irrigation contract was concluded between EMG and the Atyrau branch of RSE Kazsushar.
- Embamunaigas JSC, as a conscientious natural resource user, realising its responsibility to the future generation, makes its contribution to the environmental protection of the region, and allocates considerable funds for environmental protection measures, including increasing the green area of Atyrau oblast, - said Sabit Arynov, General Director of Embamunaigas JSC.
The company will continue to work on the Green Zone in Atyrau in 2023-2024.
During the meeting, representatives of state authorities, environmental activists and journalists received answers to their questions. As noted by the parties, it is important to get together more often, to communicate, discuss and develop a joint vision and approach to solving current problems.

The official history of Embamunaigas JSC dates back to 1922 when the Embaneft Trust was established to develop the Dossor and Makat fields.
