Developing domestic business
Embamunaigas JSC (hereinafter EMG or the Company) held a regular meeting of the company's management and the commercial unit with the business community. In total, the event was attended by about 20 potential suppliers of goods, works, and services based in Atyrau region and other regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This time, the initiator of such meetings in all subsidiaries and affiliates was the KazMunayGas National Company JSC with the support of the "Atameken" National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter NCE).
- For us, holding such meetings with the business community has become a good tradition, and this event is the third in recent years. Traditionally, among the suppliers of goods, works, and services of the Company, the lion's share is represented by Kazakh companies. The share of local content in the procurement of goods, works, and services as of December 1 this year was: 44% in goods, 99% – works, 96% – services. All procurement processes and contracts are transparent, in electronic format, within the Rules of procurement of goods, works, and services of NWF Samruk-Kazyna JSC (hereinafter – the Fund) on zakup.sk.kz. The company's procurement plans and all information about the ongoing procurement are published on our website zakup.emba.kz, noted the Chairman of the Board of EMG Anuar ZHAKSYBEKOV in his welcoming speech.
Director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Atyrau region Abdolla IDRESOV stressed that the agreement concluded in May this year between the Samruk-Kazyna JSC and the NCE on joint development of domestic business, provides for the conclusion of long-term contracts between domestic production enterprises with the companies of the Fund.
- One of the main goals of the Fund's procurement system is to support domestic producers. Developing the Kazakhstan enterprises, the companies considerably save budgets, buying domestic goods of the Kazakhstan production at reasonable price, emphasized Mr. Idresov.
During the presentation, the head of the Company acquainted entrepreneurs with measures to support domestic producers, the list of goods and equipment required by the Company in 2020, as well as the list of goods which production should be established in Kazakhstan. Mr. Zhaksybekov also spoke about the requirements to potential suppliers within the rules of procurement of goods, works and services of the "Samruk-Kazyna".
Deputy Director of EMG Department D. Tulenov acquainted entrepreneurs with the changes in the procurement procedures of "Samruk Kazyna", which come into force on January 1, 2020, the new model of prequalification (PKO) and the main problems in the implementation of procurement, etc.
At the end of the presentation part, several entrepreneurs shared their views on the experience of cooperation with EMG. During the Q&A session, businessmen were interested in the details of the upcoming changes in the Fund's procurement Rules, information about the company's future projects and other questions answered by the management and specialists of the EMG commercial unit.

“Embamunaygas” JSC is affiliated company of “KazMunayGas Exploration Production” JSC. Officially, the foundation of “Embamunaygas” JSC start from 1922 - since the foundation of “Embaneft” Trust for development of the Dossor and Makat fields. The main company profiles are exploration, development of oil and gas fields; oil and gas production; oil and gas processing. “Embamunaygas” JSC consists of six operational structural units in Atyrau and four regional units in Atyrau Oblast: “Zhaiykmunaygas”, “Dossormunaygas”, “Kainarmunaygas”, “Zhylyoimunaygas”, “Embamunayenergo” company, and “Equipment technical maintenance and warehouse management”. Company supplies produced oil for export and domestic market. For the domestic market, oil is supplied to the oil processing plants in Kazakhstan. Oil is exported via two main routes: through the pipelines of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) and Uzen-Atyrau-Samara (UAS). Sales gas is marketed through the gas and gas supply national operator of the RoK – “KazTransGas” JSC.
Starting October 1, 2012 to 11 months of 2019, Embamunaygas JSC sent over 1 trillion 041 billion tenge for the payment of taxes to the republican and local budgets, more than 4.3 billion tenge was allocated for the development of regional infrastructure.
