95 years to the Oil cradle of Kazakhstan – Makat region!
In Makat village, where large production facilities of “Embamunaygas” JSC (Further – EMG or Company) are located, a ceremonial event has taken place dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the foundation of Makat region. Oblast and regional management, region citizens, EMG management, oil people and veterans of oil industry have participated in the ceremonial event.
95th anniversary of oil region has coincided with other important event of the industry – 120th anniversary of Kazakhstani oil. Festive events dedicated to the anniversary of oldest region of the oblast were organized by EMG staff jointly with regional administration.
Festive event started with scientific and practical conference “Makat region – leader of kazakh oil"» During the conference, “Embamunaygas” JSC Chairman, Anuar Zhaksybekov, has made a speech with report “Emba: yesterday, today, tomorrow”, by telling the participants how oil Emba changed since its foundation until today.
Also, in his welcome speech, he noted all goals set by the company.
As part of the celebration of region anniversary, festive events have taken place in Dossor and Makat villages too. Sports contests on alaman baiga and Kazakh wrestling were organized, and also regional Aitys (songs competition) among the local singers on “Makat- my pride”.
“Embamunaygas” JSC has organized gala concert with the participation of republican artists and fire works for the residents of the region.

“Embamunaygas” JSC is affiliated company of “KazMunayGas Exploration Production” JSC. Officially, the foundation of “Embamunaygas” JSC start from 1922 - since the foundation of “Embaneft” Trust for development of the Dossor and Makat fields. The main company profiles are exploration, development of oil and gas fields; oil and gas production; oil and gas processing. “Embamunaygas” JSC consists of six operational structural units in Atyrau and four regional units in Atyrau Oblast: “Zhaiykmunaygas”, “Dossormunaygas”, “Kainarmunaygas”, “Zhylyoimunaygas”, “Embamunayenergo” company, and “Equipment technical maintenance and warehouse management”. Company supplies produced oil for export and domestic market. For the domestic market, oil is supplied to the oil processing plants in Kazakhstan. Oil is exported via two main routes: through the pipelines of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) and Uzen-Atyrau-Samara (UAS). Sales gas is marketed through the gas and gas supply national operator of the RoK – “KazTransGas” JSC.
Starting October 1, 2012 to 2018, Embamunaygas JSC sent over 897 billion tenge for the payment of taxes to the republican and local budgets, more than 4.3 billion tenge was allocated for the development of regional infrastructure.
