Oil people on mats
At the eve of 120th anniversary of Kazakhstani oil, “Embamunaygas” JSC (further – EMG or Company) selected the strongest oil people. 20 representatives in total from all 6 operaitonal units (further – OU) of the Company of the absolute weight category above 90 kg have participated in “Munayshy barysy” tournament.
- This year we celebrate the 120th anniversary of national oil. First flow was obtained in Karashungul structure in 1899 at the current EMG contract area. Therefore, starting from April the Company conducts various events dedicated to the anniversary. One of them is today’s tournament in Kazaksha kures (national wrestling) among Emba oil people. 22 our employees from all operational units of the Company will demonstrate their skills in the tournament. This tournament is dedicated to first Emba oil people who in difficult conditions developed first fields, - noted in his welcome speech, the BoD Chairman, Anuar ZHAKSYBEKOV.
In the final stage of the tournament, wrestlers fought for the “Munayshy barysy” belt. The winner became the foreman of oil processing shop of OGPC “Kainarmunaygas”, Ayan Taizhanov. He was awarded with money certificate for 250 000 tenge. Prize for the second place – 150 000 tenge, went to the oil processing shop operator of OGPC “Zhayikmunaygas”, Muhamedrakhim Uralbekov. Third place and certificate for 100 000 tenge went to oil and gas production operator of OGPC “Kainarmunaygas”, Yerlan Amangeldiyev and workover operator of OGPC “Zhylyoimunaygas”, Zhanabay Mukhtarov.
A number of events took place in EMG dedicated to 120th anniversary: sport contest between OU workers, open lesson on the history of oil and gas for the pupils of upper school grades in Sarykamys microregion of Atyrau, art contest among children of employees " My happy childhood”, regional qualification stage of the Sport contest between affiliates of “NC “KazMunayGas” JSC, II stage of corporate contest of “NC “KazMunayGas” JSC – “best in profession” among OU workers in Caspi Samaly” accommodation camp (at Prorva field of OGPC “Zhylyoimunaygas”.

“Embamunaygas” JSC is affiliated company of “KazMunayGas Exploration Production” JSC. Officially, the foundation of “Embamunaygas” JSC start from 1922 - since the foundation of “Embaneft” Trust for development of the Dossor and Makat fields. The main company profiles are exploration, development of oil and gas fields; oil and gas production; oil and gas processing. “Embamunaygas” JSC consists of six operational structural units in Atyrau and four regional units in Atyrau Oblast: “Zhaiykmunaygas”, “Dossormunaygas”, “Kainarmunaygas”, “Zhylyoimunaygas”, “Embamunayenergo” company, and “Equipment technical maintenance and warehouse management”. Company supplies produced oil for export and domestic market. For the domestic market, oil is supplied to the oil processing plants in Kazakhstan. Oil is exported via two main routes: through the pipelines of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) and Uzen-Atyrau-Samara (UAS). Sales gas is marketed through the gas and gas supply national operator of the RoK – “KazTransGas” JSC.
Starting October 1, 2012 to 2018, Embamunaygas JSC sent over 897 billion tenge for the payment of taxes to the republican and local budgets, more than 4.3 billion tenge was allocated for the development of regional infrastructure.
