History lesson in oil company
Events dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Kazakhstani oil started in “Embamunaygas” JSC (hereinafter EMG or Company).
The first gush of oil in our country was in 1899 on the “Karashungul” structure. The history of exploration and production of the first oil in this structure was covered during a demonstration lesson for 9-11 grade students of Atyrau secondary school No. 33 named after K. Kaisenov held in the headquarters of EMG.
- Karashungul is the very first field, which started more than a century of development of the Emba fields. The generation of young Kazakhstanis should know the history of origin and development of the domestic oil and gas industry - when was oil discovered for the first time in the Kazakh steppes, how were the large “Yeskene”, “Dossor” and “Makat” fields, where Kazakhstani oil workers professionally developed, and grew later into dynasties, discovered and developed. The goal of today’s event is to encourage children’s interest in the history of the oil industry and native land, - Deputy Chairman of the Production Board of EMG Aibolat GABDULLIN said in a welcoming speech.
During the visit to the Company’s office, schoolchildren visited the interactive EMG museum. The open lesson was held in the format of the intellectual competition, with 30 students taking part.
At the end of the competition, the Company presented a gift to the school administration - a TV set, and the students prepared a concert for the oil workers.

“Embamunaygas” JSC is affiliated company of “KazMunayGas Exploration Production” JSC. Officially, the foundation of “Embamunaygas” JSC start from 1922 - since the foundation of “Embaneft” Trust for development of the Dossor and Makat fields. The main company profiles are exploration, development of oil and gas fields; oil and gas production; oil and gas processing. “Embamunaygas” JSC consists of six operational structural units in Atyrau and four regional units in Atyrau Oblast: “Zhaiykmunaygas”, “Dossormunaygas”, “Kainarmunaygas”, “Zhylyoimunaygas”, “Embamunayenergo” company, and “Equipment technical maintenance and warehouse management”. Company supplies produced oil for export and domestic market. For the domestic market, oil is supplied to the oil processing plants in Kazakhstan. Oil is exported via two main routes: through the pipelines of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) and Uzen-Atyrau-Samara (UAS). Sales gas is marketed through the gas and gas supply national operator of the RoK – “KazTransGas” JSC.
Starting October 1, 2012 to 2018, Embamunaygas JSC sent over 897 billion tenge for the payment of taxes to the republican and local budgets, more than 4.3 billion tenge was allocated for the development of regional infrastructure.
