Oil industry for the benefit of the people!
Support of pre-term presidential elections in RoK and implementation of the programme of the 18th convention of “Nur-Otan” party by oilmen were the main topics of the meeting of population of Kyzylkoginskiy District with the management of “Embamunaygas” JSC. The meeting was attended by the District Akim, heads of district government bodies, secretary and deputies of the district Maslikhat, veterans, NGO leaders, representatives of the business community and youth.
Akim of the Kyzylkoginskiy District, Arman BAZHENOV, who chaired the meeting, noted the long-standing partnership with “Embamunaygas” JSC, which makes a great contribution to economic development of the district and improvement of social infrastructure.
During the meeting with the population, Chairman of the Board of “Embamunaygas” JSC Anuar ZHAKSYBEKOV noted the upcoming presidential elections as an important event in the history of the country:
- Since the company was founded in 1922, the Emba oilmen have always been the backbone of the state and the locomotive of its social and economic development. Therefore, I urge everyone to take an active part in the presidential elections in Kazakhstan! Further stability, prosperity of the country and future of our children depend on our active position! The Elbasy Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev declared the current year as the Year of Youth, therefore the company decided to support two young representatives of Kyzylkoginskiy District in getting higher education with the condition of their admission to the Oil and Gas specialty and subsequent good academic results. Additionally, at the 18th convention of “Nur Otan” party, the Elbasy outlined a number of key challenges the society faces today, including the support of low-income groups and housing initiatives. Not long ago, I addressed the entire staff with a proposal to support the residents of Atyrau Oblast, where the company’s fields are being developed, and to allocate one-day salary for the housing purchase. Oil industry workers have supported this proposal and currently funds are collected to help our fellowmen who do not have sufficient income to buy housing for their families, - head of “Embamunaygas” JSC said.
Let us recall that in 2015, funds raised by the Embinians were used to overhaul 4 houses for residents of Atyrau, whose families have children with disabilities, and a new house was built for a single pensioner. In 2016, a new house was built for a large family in Atyrau, where two children had serious illnesses. Last year, a large team of Emba oilmen helped the residents of Zyryanovskiy District of the East Kazakhstan Oblast affected by severe flooding. The funds transferred by the Emba oilmen were used to purchase four apartments and three houses for residents of villages of Maleyevsk, Zubovsk and suburbs of Zyryanovsk, whose houses were beyond repair.
As noted, from 2012 to 2018, “Embamunaygas” JSC transferred more than 897 billion tenge to the republican and local budgets, including more than 199 billion tenge in 2018. During this period, the company allocated 4.3 billion tenge, of which 1.9 billion tenge - in 2018, to development of social infrastructure of Atyrau Oblast.
As part of contractual obligations, social projects have been built and are under construction in four districts of Atyrau Oblast funded by the company, including projects in Kyzylkoginskiy District: 25 houses for social workers, 4 kindergartens, schools in the villages of Zhanterek, Sagiz, Mukur, medical and obstetric station in the village of Karabau, etc. Under the multiple-purpose sports grounds construction programme, “Samryk Kazyna Trust” Social Development Fund (hereinafter the Fund) with the participation of “Embamunaygas” JSC commissioned a multiple-purpose sports ground in Mukur village last year.
Since the beginning of this year, all sponsorship and charity support has been provided through the Fund, acting as an operator from the group of companies of “Samruk Kazyna” JSC. In total from 2012 to 2018, “Embamunaygas” JSC allocated over 2 billion tenge for sponsorship and charity. With these funds, the company supported more than 170 public associations and individuals from vulnerable social groups, including parents of children with serious diseases who need surgical treatment and rehabilitation. Annually, as part of the “Road to School” campaign, the company allocated 1,000,000 tenge to purchase school clothes and supplies for pupils from vulnerable social groups of Kyzylkoginskiy District. In 2018, with the support of “Embamunaygas” JSC, three schoolchildren from Sagiz village of Kyzylkoginskiy District, took part in the International Arithmetic Competition in Dubai.
During the meeting, residents of the District showed interest in the environmental and social aspects of the ongoing geological exploration and further industrial development of the Taisoigan site by “Embamunaygas” JSC, where previously the Russian military ground was located. A. Zhaksybekov informed the public that the seismic exploration at Taisoigan was carried out in accordance with the technical project and environmental impact assessment project, monitored by state authorities.
Regarding the vital topic of employment of the local population, head of “Embamunaygas” JSC said that in case of discovery of prospective features at Taisoigan site, new jobs would be created, and priority would be given to residents of Kyzylkoginskiy District.
After the meeting was over, Anuar Zhaksybekov held a meeting with veterans of the District, where he heard out their proposals and spoke about future plans for development of the enterprise.

Officially, the foundation of “Embamunaygas” JSC start from 1922 - since the foundation of “Embaneft” Trust for development of the Dossor and Makat fields.
