Embinians at digitalization symposium
The development of digitalization and further replication of the Intellectual Field system at Embamunaygas JSC (hereinafter - EMG or Company) was reported by Company's specialists on April 10 at the Digitalization of Oil and Gas Industry Symposium organized by the Atyrau branch of the SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers).
Chairman of the Management Board of EMG Anuar ZHAKSYBEKOV noted in his welcoming speech that Company was one of the first among domestic mining companies to implement in 2016 the pilot project “Intellectual field” at Uaz field of OGMD “Kainarmunaygas”. The project proved its effectiveness and was included in the state program "Digital Kazakhstan", after which its replication began in other fields of the company. In 2017, the concept of “Intellectual field” was replicated in the areas of the Prorvinskaya group of fields, in 2018 - in the Zhanatalap and East Makat fields. In total, until 2022, 10 fields will be digitized by the company. The plans also include the further development of the Visualization Center.
- The concept of the intellectual field “Embamunaygas” is the fruit of the collective labour of our company's employees: IT specialists, geologists, production workers and financiers. In the course of their joint work, all separate information systems were integrated into one information base, which distinguishes our concept from the developments of other companies, - noted A. Zhaksybekov.
During the panel discussion, Bolat NSANBAEV, Director of the Department of Industrial Automation and Information Technologies of EMG, answered questions from the symposium participants on the specifics of digitalization development in the field of oil production in Kazakhstan in the context of global trends in this economy sector.
The symposium was attended by the managers and specialists of industrial automation and information technologies, prospective development, reservoir petroleum engineering, corporate safety departments and the mobilization work of Management block, IT specialists and production workers of the oil and gas production departments of Company.

“Embamunaygas” JSC is affiliated company of “KazMunayGas Exploration Production” JSC. Officially, the foundation of “Embamunaygas” JSC start from 1922 - since the foundation of “Embaneft” Trust for development of the Dossor and Makat fields. The main company profiles are exploration, development of oil and gas fields; oil and gas production; oil and gas processing. “Embamunaygas” JSC consists of six operational structural units in Atyrau and four regional units in Atyrau Oblast: “Zhaiykmunaygas”, “Dossormunaygas”, “Kainarmunaygas”, “Zhylyoimunaygas”, “Embamunayenergo” company, and “Equipment technical maintenance and warehouse management”. Company supplies produced oil for export and domestic market. For the domestic market, oil is supplied to the oil processing plants in Kazakhstan. Oil is exported via two main routes: through the pipelines of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) and Uzen-Atyrau-Samara (UAS). Sales gas is marketed through the gas and gas supply national operator of the RoK – “KazTransGas” JSC.
Starting October 1, 2012 to 2018, Embamunaygas JSC sent over 897 billion tenge for the payment of taxes to the republican and local budgets, more than 4.3 billion tenge was allocated for the development of regional infrastructure.
