Much has been done, there is still more to do
Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Operations of “National Company “KazMunayGas” JSC, Zhakyp Marabayev, visited “Embamunaygas” JSC during his work visit to Atyrau Oblast where he met with top management of the Company.
Zhakyp Nasibkaliyevich Marabayev was appointed to the position of Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Operations of NC KMG on February 11, 2019. During his visit to EMG, he got acquainted with the production and financial and economic performance results of the Company achieved in the previous year.
During the meeting, Chairman of the Board of EMG Anuar ZHAKSYBEKOV presented the 2018 production performance report and the plans for the upcoming period.
- At the beginning of previous year, the shareholder put out a plan for oil production of 2 million 895 thousand tons of oil, which is 55 thousand tons higher than the usual annual production in previous years. Most of the Emba fields are at a late stage of development, however, united Emba team successfully met the challenge and produced 2 million 895 thousand 332 tons of oil. Stable indicators of oil production have been achieved as a result of organizational and geological and technical measures aimed at increasing the wells productivity and oil recovery factor, - Chairman of the Board of EMG said.
During the meeting, Zhakyp Marabayev put a special focus on process safety.
- The main asset of NC KMG is our employees. Their safety is a priority for the company. We must aim for zero accidents that may adversely affect the life and health of employees. The management should closely monitor this, - deputy head of the national company Zh. Marabayev said.
According to Director of Occupational Health and Environment Department of EMG, Ilyas Sarybekov, Company completed the last year with zero fatality and accidents. Positive results were achieved thanks to the systematic and coordinated work of all employees of the company. Unfortunately, there were cases of sustaining injuries. - All 4 cases have already been reviewed and various actions have been developed. Additional training was delivered to employees in the field safety classes with demonstration of videos on process safety. 14 corporate and regulatory documents on process safety have been developed and approved by the Company’s Management Board, - I. SARYBEKOV, Director of Occupational Health and Environment Department noted.
Introduction of new technologies that will improve production efficiency was also discussed during the meeting.
- In 2016, “Embamunaygas” JSC at the Uaz field in OGPC “Kainarmunaygas” introduced the pilot Digital Field concept, which proved to be effective. In 2017, the project was replicated at the fields of the Prorva group of fields in OGPC “Zhylyoimunaygas”, and in 2018 at the Zhanatalap field of OGPC “Zhaiykmunaygas”. 10 fields will be digitized across the company until 2024, - Chairman of the Board of EMG said.
During the presentation, A.Ye. Zhaksybekov spoke about the Company’s activities in each operational profile, including execution of process automation projects, capital construction, progress of drilling new wells, geological exploration and future plans. Mr. Marabayev gave specific instructions to responsible managers to achieve planned targets for oil and gas production and to increase production efficiency.
During the visit, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Operations of NC KMG Zh. Marabayev visited the EMG Production Process Visualization Centre.
- Company has done a lot of work to automate production process, which, in turn, will have a positive impact on ensuring labour safety for personnel. “Embamunaygas” JSC is affiliated company of “KazMunayGas Exploration Production” JSC. Officially, the foundation of “Embamunaygas” JSC start from 1922 - since the foundation of “Embaneft” Trust for development of the Dossor and Makat fields. The main company profiles are exploration, development of oil and gas fields; oil and gas production; oil and gas processing. “Embamunaygas” JSC consists of six operational structural units in Atyrau and four regional units in Atyrau Oblast: “Zhaiykmunaygas”, “Dossormunaygas”, “Kainarmunaygas”, “Zhylyoimunaygas”, “Embamunayenergo” company, and “Equipment technical maintenance and warehouse management”.
