The Board of Directors of “Embmaunaygas” JSC (further – EMG or Company) has visited production facilities
On the 24 of September, the BoD of the Company have visited Zaburunie field of OGPC “Zhaiykmunaygas” where they have familiarized with polymer flooding project.
It should be noted that this project is being executed since 2014 in order to stabilize production at the fields with viscous oil. Currently, production stabilization is reached at polymer flooding zone by means of injection of polymer mud intro two injection wells. To cover the main part of the Zaburunie field, a number of injection wells increased to six.
- Additional implementation of four wells for polymer flooding allowed maintain the current production level. Further based on this project we plan to implement same technology at other similar fields that would allow resolving an issue with the development of highly viscous oil, oil recovery factors and extension of economic efficiency of fields operation, - noted in his speech during project presentation, acting development director of EMG, Kairat KOZOV.
After, BoD members visited the field after S. Balgimbayev. In this field, gas treatment unit (GTU) is installed to dispose associated petroleum gas. GTU capacity is 20 MMm3/annum. Raw material for the GTU is associated petroleum gas from the fields of OGPC “Zhaiykmunaygas”.
- Obtained sales gas at GTU is compliant with RoK ST 1666-2007. Additional product is stable gas condensate which is compliant with RoK ST 2188-2011. Sales gas, besides being consumed for own needs of OGPC, is exported through “KazTransGas-Aimak” JSC system and to residential area of Issatay region. Stable condensate is sent to oil processing and transfer unit, - stated in his speech managing director on energy and gas facilities of EMG, Bauyrzhan SEITKAZIYEV.
For optimal sales of gas from GTU S. Balgimbayev, a working project “Gas pipeline construction v. Akkistau-AGRS Tushykuduk” is developed and “Construction of gas pipeline GTU- v.Tumannoe”. This gas pipeline would allow selling the whole volume of sale gas to “KazTransGas-Aimak” system any time of the year. These gas pipelines are being constructed presently, and planned to be finished by end of 2018.
Whole process is automated and operated by operator from control room.
BoD meeting was held at the end of the visit in EMG office.
