Askhat Khasenov Reviewed the Operations of the Training and Production Field for Future Oil Workers
During a working visit to the Atyrau region, Askhat Khasenov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC "KazMunayGas," visited the S. Utebayev Atyrau University of Oil and Gas, where he inspected the training and production field designed for training future oil industry professionals.
The field covers a total area of 4 hectares and was built with financial support from JSC "Embamunaigas." It serves as a mini model of an oil and gas production enterprise, featuring a full cycle of production processes ranging from exploration to hydrocarbon processing. The facility is equipped with a modern laboratory, training and production sites, and pilot plants for honing professional skills, as well as zones for testing innovative technological solutions. To help students practice underground repair operations, two wells have been drilled on-site, and 15 training areas have been built where future specialists can complete their practical assignments.
Since its opening in September 2025, more than 800 students have already completed practical training at the facility. This includes individuals majoring in Oil and Gas Engineering, Chemical Technology of Organic Substances, and Electric Power Engineering. Looking ahead, there are plans to provide training and internships for students from other universities across Kazakhstan, as well as from Russia, Azerbaijan, and China, as part of the Summer Industrial School hosted by the university.
The training of qualified personnel remains one of the key priorities for KazMunayGas. The company pays special attention to creating the right conditions for training in-demand specialists for the oil and gas industry. This newly created training field allows future oil workers to gain hands-on experience and familiarize themselves with modern production processes," noted A. Khasenov.
At present, the management of the training field has been fully transferred to the S. Utebayev Atyrau University of Oil and Gas.

"Embamunaigas" JSC is a subsidiary of "KazMunayGas" National Company JSC. The official history of "Embamunaigas" JSC dates to 1922 — from the creation of the "Embaneft" trust to develop the Dossor and Makat fields. The sale of commercial gas is carried out through the national operator of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of gas and gas supply — "QazaqGaz" NC JSC.
From 2012 to 2025, "Embamunaigas" JSC has allocated 1 trillion 902 billion 223 million tenge for tax payments to the National Fund, the republican and local budgets; 8 billion 096 million tenge has been allocated for the social development of the region.
