Last Thursday, the headquarters of Embamunaigas JSC (hereinafter EMG or the Company) held a retreat with the participation of representatives of National Company KazMunaiGas JSC (hereinafter NC KMG) on health, safety and environment (hereinafter OT, TB and OOS). The meeting was attended by heads and responsible specialists of subsidiaries and affiliates, jointly controlled organizations of NC KMG, top management, heads of production departments, departments, departments, services of EMG, and contractors of the Company.
- In recent years, we have come a long way from an organization focused on production performance to a company in which the priority values are defined by human life and respect for the environment. The Company is implementing new initiatives to create a culture of safe work and safety, implementing projects in the field of environmental protection. In this regard, today's meeting is of great importance for improving the efficiency of work in this direction. I thank the management and the profile unit of NC KMG for organizing such a meeting on the basis of Emba, - said the Chairman of the Board of EMG Anuar ZHAKSYBEKOV in his welcoming speech.
- Having set an ambitious goal a few years ago-to enter the world's top companies in terms of OT, TB and OS, we have achieved incredible success. Over the last 5 years, the number of deaths related to production has decreased by 80%, the number of deaths related to health has decreased by 46%, the level of injuries has decreased by 50%, the number of accidents - by 37%. We have good indicators in the field of the environment. Staff involvement at all levels is increasing. Now we raise the question of changing tactics from a gradual movement towards a goal to a breakthrough, which will happen when the safety culture will be driven by employees and management will support their initiatives, - said Managing Director for labor protection and environment of NC KMG Vincent SPINELLI during the presentation.
During the meeting, NC KMG profile managers announced presentations on the analysis of injuries at work and the organization of work to reduce it, crisis management, and NC KMG initiatives in the field of OT, TB and OOS, including the implementation of the map "Korgau" in the framework of The road map on PBiOT for 2019-2021.

“Embamunaygas” JSC is affiliated company of “KazMunayGas Exploration Production” JSC. Officially, the foundation of “Embamunaygas” JSC start from 1922 - since the foundation of “Embaneft” Trust for development of the Dossor and Makat fields. The main company profiles are exploration, development of oil and gas fields; oil and gas production; oil and gas processing. “Embamunaygas” JSC consists of six operational structural units in Atyrau and four regional units in Atyrau Oblast: “Zhaiykmunaygas”, “Dossormunaygas”, “Kainarmunaygas”, “Zhylyoimunaygas”, “Embamunayenergo” company, and “Equipment technical maintenance and warehouse management”. Company supplies produced oil for export and domestic market. For the domestic market, oil is supplied to the oil processing plants in Kazakhstan.
