On the May 22, in Kulsary, a ceremonial event took place dedicated to 55th anniversary of Zhylyoi technological colleague of oil and gas, and naming it after the first Kazakh – petroleum engineer – Safi UTABAYEV.
The event was participated by the representatives of Zhylyoi region Akimat, EMG, regional and oblast education departments, Atyrau oil and gas university after S. Utebayev, Atyrau chamber of entrepreneurs “Atameken”, management of oblast colleagues, relatives of S. Utebayev, teachers and students.
- Safi Utebayev was one of the pioneers of oilfields – Kulsary, Komsomolsk, Prorva, Kenkiyak, Karaton, Munaily, Zhetibay and Uzen. He made a huge contribution into the development of oil and gas industry in the country. Today, Emba oil people continue his deeds with dignity by completing the resource base, providing effective production of oil and gas for the sake of the country’s economy and welfare of Company employees, implementing new technologies and digitalization of production. Company makes a weighty contribution in preparation of qualified specialists for national oil and gas industry, organizing on-job training for students and implementing dual education program. Only by cooperation with Zhylyoi technological oil and gas colleague, 40 students undergo on-job training at EMG field annually. In total, within the period from 2015 to 2018 and Q1 2019 on-job training and internship was organized for 97 trainees as part of dual education. 40 students who obtained high test results were hired by the company, - noted in his congratulation speech deputy director of human resources and reward department of EMG, Gibrat AUGANOV.
An excursion as part of ceremonial event was organized inside the colleague and classrooms equipped according to the specialization of students. Museum after S. Utebayev was opened, scientific conference and ceremonial meeting were held in regional House of Culture.
Safi Utebayev - «Honored oil worker of USSR (1969). Honoured worker of science and technology of KazSSR (1969). Safi Utebayev was born in Kyzylkoginskyi region in 1909. Among first petroleum engineers – kazakhs, has graduated from Baku oil institute (1935). In 1935-45 – worked as engineer, manager of oil processing company Makat, Baichunas, Kulsary, Komsomolsk of “Embaneft” association. In 1945-51 – first secretary of Emba regional committee of CP Kazakhstan. In 1951-57 – head of “Kazakhstanneft” association. In 1957-65 – Chairman of Atyrau and West-Kazakhstan Soviet public economy.
In 1965-71 – Director of “Kazakhstanneft” and “Mangyshlakneft” Associations in the status of Republic Minister. In 1971-80 – Deputy Director of Scientific research institute of technical information of the State Plan of KazSSR. Elected as the delegate of XXII-XXIV congress of CPSS and the member of Supreme Soviet of KazSSR and USSR. Awarded with Lenin’s order, October revolution, World War, two orders of Labor Red Flag, “Honor Sign”, “Otan” — (1999), «Barys» I category (2004) and many other medals and Honor diplomas.
