EMG this year has been a Silver sponsor of KIOGE 2018 Exhibition, which financed the construction of seminar room where within 3 days from 26 to 28th of September 2018, 12 thematic workshops of large oil and gas and service companies took place. Subject events from the Company were attended by BoD Chairman, A.Y. Zhaksybekov, acting managing director in development, K.S. Kozov, production automation and information programs director, B.M. Nsanbayev, procurement and local content director, A.K. Kammatov, HSE director, I.M. Sarybekov, managers of 6 production units of EMG, managers of geology and automation departments of 4 oil production companies.
Digitalization of national oil and gas sector has become one of central topics of the KIOGR 2018 International exhibition. As per the BoD Deputy Chairman on exploration, production and oil service of “NC “KazMunayGas” JSC, Kurmangazy Iskazieyv, main purpose of implementation of “Intelligent field” project is a construction of modern complex production management system at production assets of “E&P “KazMunayGas” JSC.
- Implementation of project will allow creating full-scale field data collection system, optimizing well performance and field equipment due to application of intelligent technologies, will ensure integrated modelling, analysis, planning and monitoring the development of field in real-time mode. We have selected 18 fields, which contain around 90% of reserves, and with growth potential. It is planned to allocate 28 billion tenge for their digitalization – noted K. Iskaziyev during KIOGE 2018.
During seminar program, EMG specialists have told in details on status and future plans on replication of “Intelligent field” concept at Emba fields:
- Since last year works are ongoing on integration of the system at the Prorva group fields (OGPC “Zhylyoimunaygas”), Zhanatalap (OGPC “Zhayikmunaygas”) and Vostochnyi Makat (OGPC “Dossormunaygas”). 12 Company fields in total are planned to digitalize by end of 2023. And while digital technologies are being advanced, a working group has been formed in “Embamunaygas” in the beginning of 2018, which studies new developments and executed solutions in international oil and gas companies in expansion of existing “Intelligent field” project.

Be reminded that EMG during last several years implements a project on digitalization of its fields. In 2016, “Intelligent field” project was implemented at small field “Uaz” (OGPC “Kainarmunaygas”) as a pilot project. After achieving positive results at “Uaz” field, it was decided to replicate the system at other fields of the company. “Intelligent field” project was included into state program “Digital Kazakhstan” and received positive assessment of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan during the visit to Company office as part of working trip to Atyrau oblast.

Officially, the foundation of “Embamunaygas” JSC start from 1922 - since the foundation of “Embaneft” trust to develop Dossor and Makat fields.
